The Australasian World Music Expo (AWME) is getting ever closer and today, the organisers have announced the conference schedule for 2014! The November conference is set to attract hundreds from all over the globe and through Australia for three days of live music, discussions and networking within the industry. The conference element of AWME will be taking place at the Arts Centre Melbourne and includes conference sessions surrounding grants, touring and more.
Highlights include:
-The Australia Council for the Arts talking about the New Grants Program
-Sounds Australia and Export Ready
-Panels on touring internationally and touring in Canada
-The New Zealand Music Commission's panel 'An Island in the Middle of the Pacific'
Ash Grunwald will be in conversation with triple j's Sarah Howells, discussing touring life, while the festival bookers from the likes of Glastonbury, Bonnaroo and WOMADelaide will also be discussing just what makes festivals roll on successfully.
